Over the last few years I have been spending some time with a very wonderful woman.
Her name is Minmia
She is an Australian Aboriginal elder who has been guiding me and teaching me many things based on women’s business. Her ancient culture has been evolving for the last 40,000 – 80,000 years (depending on what archeologist you believe!) Even though the Australian Aborigines have experienced a terrifying history since white colonization – white law took their children away – which needless to say has caused immeasurable pain and destruction of culture – there lies within many people such as Minmia an incredible graciousness and forgiveness and a desire for healing and a better world for all –she is a marvelous teacher and role model for me
Over the last few years she has been doing public teachings and they have been transcribed.
2 years ago 2 very good friends took it upon themselves to gather all available teachings and jottings and compile them into her book. So her book is her telling her stories in her first voice.
She has so enriched my life!
It is a book written for women through her eyes and her culture and her spirit.
